Our ethos
Our Montessori nursery fosters calm, creative and purposeful learning. We feel that children thrive in an environment designed to meet their natural needs to explore, be creative, and develop independence.
Our ethos reflects Montessori's belief that children blossom when practitioners trust them, observe and provide guidance, not direction.
We aim to provide a warm, nurturing environment where children develop creativity, curiosity and independence!
Key priorities and Values
Key priorities:
Values:
These priorities foster Montessori principles into daily practice:
Independent leaning- All activities are child-led, providing opportunity to choose, revisit and master independently.
Enhance practical life skills- We provide activities that enhance self-care and confidence.
Social awareness - We teach to respect our environment and collaborate mixed aged groups.
These are Montessori Beliefs that support our attitudes and decisions:
Autonomy- Children are supported to be independent and make their own desicions.
Observations- We want to understand children through an observation rather than an instruction.
Freedom within limits- We proportion independence and boundaries to enhance responsibility.
